  • KitKat says:

Whole grains (whole wheat pasta, whole wheat bread, brown rice, quinoa), beans and nuts are excellent sources but everything has protein in it. It’s the easiest thing to get. You also have to make sure you get enough minerals and vitamins.

    Google the Vegetarian Food Pyramid.

peanuts, beans, veggie burgers-these are a great option they are very good and have like 10 grams per burger-just dont eat with bread, soy yogurt is very healthy also, protein shakes mixed with water or soy milk are really helpful.

I don’t get it, peopel ask constantly what can a vegetarian do to get protein, but the funny thing is even though you take so much out of your diet 1) You still have a bunch of protein that you don’t know about 2) You subconciously add stuff to your diet that has protein in it too. So instead of freaking looking for more stuff, just read the labels on what you do eat now, you’d be so surprised.

You don’t need a lot of protein because you want to lose weight any more than you need a lot of fat or lot of carbs because you want to lose weight.

peas, beans, and nuts. And try more interesting soy products, like veggie burgers, tempeh and soy milk (its pretty good and has protein)

  • Siany says:

Nuts, seeds, wholegrains, vegetables, lentils, chick peas, beans, soy even pasta/bread/cereals (although they have a lower protein content) can add to a high protein vegetarian diet

    First, protein is everywhere.
Second, we need amino acids, not protein.
Third, every living thing is made of protein.
Fourth, you do not need a lot of protein, no human does.
Fifth, protein won’t help you lose weight.
Sixth, even bodybuilders don’t need more protein.
Seventh, do exercise to lose fat and eat more.
Eighth, excess protein goes down the toilet, vitamins and minerals with it which were needed to break it down.

Lastly, read this for list of protein and amino acid sources:
